Global cryptocurrency investment products saw significant inflows last week, with Ether exchange-traded products (ETPs) accounting for the majority of new capital, according to a report from European crypto asset manager CoinShares.
The report, released Monday, showed that global crypto ETPs recorded $3.75 billion in total inflows for the trading week ending Friday. This surge was primarily fueled by strong bullish momentum for Ether (ETH), which saw its price approach all-time highs above $4,700 during the week.
Ether ETPs led the gains, attracting $2.9 billion in new investment, which represented a growing investor interest in the altcoin. In contrast, Bitcoin (BTC) ETPs saw more modest inflows of $552 million, despite Bitcoin’s price surpassing $124,000 during the same period.
According to data from SoSoValue, while the market experienced four days of continuous inflows, sentiment shifted on Friday, with both Bitcoin and Ether funds recording outflows.
Other cryptocurrencies also saw notable activity. Solana (SOL) and XRP (XRP) ETPs received inflows of $176.5 million and $125.9 million, respectively. Conversely, Litecoin (LTC) and Toncoin (TON) experienced minor outflows.
Despite the strong performance, the duration of consecutive inflow streaks has shortened. Spot Ether ETFs saw an eight-day inflow streak totaling $3.7 billion, while Bitcoin ETFs had a shorter, seven-day streak that brought in about $1.3 billion. This contrasts with longer runs seen earlier in the summer, such as a 20-day streak for Ether in July and a 15-day streak for Bitcoin in June.
