HashKey Exchange has partnered with global asset management giant Franklin Templeton to distribute the Franklin OnChain U.S. Government Liquidity Fund (grBENJI) to digital asset investors across Asia. Launched on HashKey Exchange’s Earn Channel on August 24, 2026, the collaboration allows eligible professional investors to access yield-generating U.S. government money market instruments and dollar cash assets through blockchain-enabled infrastructure.
The strategic partnership reflects a growing demand among digital asset market participants for compliant, real-world asset (RWA) investment solutions. By leveraging Franklin Templeton’s extensive asset management expertise alongside HashKey’s regulated platform, the initiative aims to create a scalable bridge between traditional capital markets and on-chain finance. The offering is restricted exclusively to professional investors and is not available to the Hong Kong general public.
Executives from both institutions hailed the partnership as a major step forward for institutional digital asset adoption in the region. Haiyang Ru, CEO of HashKey Exchange BG, noted that integrating the grBENJI fund directly addresses surging demand for secure, regulated yield products, while Chetan Karkhanis, SVP of Digital Assets Client Engagement at Franklin Templeton, highlighted the blockchain structure’s enhanced efficiency and transparency. Moving forward, both companies plan to explore expanding their tokenized offerings across additional asset classes and international jurisdictions.
