LunarCrush, a startup of crypto-focused social analytics has just released its new API that collects and organizes social media data on over 4,000 crypto assets, more than 300 NFT collections, and many exchanges, influencers, and opinions of LunarCrush users.
On the company’s official Medium account, it announced the launch of its new API. In the press release, it cited that Vantage Market Research estimated that the financial automation market will be worth around $19.8 billion by 2028.
With consideration of its growth rate, the new API intends to provide a strong, streamlined delivery system to assist investing, trading research, and modeling automation on top of the social media datasets.
The LunarCrush team stated they wanted the new API to be simple and affordable to offer flexible and scalable use cases from all market segments, not just the automation support.
To help the developers to understand the API, the announcement post includes a comprehensive guide about it.
The LunarCrush team also decided to implement a pay-as-you-go model — from as low as $1 per day — in order to make the API all the more accessible.
LunarCrush has been advertising new features every few months from the end of 2021. The startup launched its ‘Opinions’ feature in December 2021, in which LunarCrush users are incentivized with Lunr tokens for each insightful opinion they posted. The company could increase the amount of data to analyze by motivating user comments.
LunarCrush announced the launch of LunrFi, its DeFi protocol, back in April 2022. Users can stake Lunr, the firm’s native token, to earn yields of up to 25% each month after the introduction of the new protocol.
