It Makes Sense for Twitter to Support Crypto Payments

Billionaire Elon Musk recently stated that it is sensible for Twitter to integrate digital payments during an all-hands meeting with the social media company.

“Money is fundamentally digital at this point and has been for a while. It would make sense to integrate payments into Twitter so it’s easy to send money back and forth,” said Musk, who agreed to acquire the social media platform for around $44 billion.

Musk believes that the feature allows convenient mode of payment, which leads to the usefulness of the service being maximised. He added that — by focusing on key aspects like news, entertainment and payments — Twitter will become a service that is “so compelling that you can’t live without it and that everyone wants to use it.”

Although the public has mixed opinions about the Tesla CEO’s plan to purchase Twitter, the fact that he attended the meeting could imply his serious intention in acquiring the social media platform.

Twitter is no stranger to cryptocurrency as it has already incorporated Bitcoin tipping in 2021 when Jack Dorsey was still the CEO and has already included Ether support early this year.
