Robinhood is broadening its financial footprint in the United Kingdom by introducing zero-fee cryptocurrency trading alongside its existing lineup of equities, options, futures, and stocks and shares ISAs. Set to roll out to eligible U.K. customers this week, the upgraded all-in-one platform is designed to provide a transparent, lower-cost alternative to incumbent U.K. brokerages, which have historically relied on opaque pricing structures and wider spreads that diminish investor returns.
Through its acquisition of exchange Bitstamp in 2025, Robinhood will provide U.K. users access to more than 50 cryptocurrencies, including major assets such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, and Hyperliquid. To help users better understand market volatility, the company is also launching Robinhood Cortex Digests for Crypto. This generative AI-powered tool evaluates breaking news, technical indicators, proprietary insights, and real-time market data to explain key price drivers in clear, straightforward language.
The initiative also expands Robinhood’s developer ecosystem by enabling U.K. creators to build applications on the Robinhood Chain, an Arbitrum-powered Layer-2 blockchain. Jordan Sinclair, President of Robinhood U.K., noted that a rising generation of British investors views digital assets as an essential element of a diversified portfolio, emphasizing that the rollout represents a major move toward establishing an all-inclusive investment platform in the U.K.
